Populus balsamifera

We harvest the buds of the balsam poplar tree in late winter/early spring when the weather starts warming up, just before the bud opens up into the leaf. The trees are found in abundance around the Montreal area by the St Lawrence River.

Calendula officinalis

The all-star of our herbal line-up, we use calendula that is homegrown with no chemicals whatsoever, from either our own garden or from Honeybee Homestead.

Symphytum officinale

Comfrey is a plant of damp ground, usually found along riverbanks, grasslands, and waste ground. We forage for comfrey or receive its bounty from Honeybee Homestead.

Matricaria Recutita

Until we have the means to grow and harvest our own chamomile, we source them from the gardens of Églantine Vignon, a herbalist located in the Eastern Townships.

Solidago canadensis

This bright yellow plant reveals herself to us in abundance in late summer. Found along the St. Lawrence River or on family land, we forage for her with gratitude and respect to the ecosystem in which she grows.

Lavandula angustifolia

We are currently searching for a local lavender source, as local lavender is limited and sells out quickly. In the meantime, we source our organic lavender from France, where lavender grows in abundance.

Plantago major

Found in abundance in lawns, fields, roadsides, riverbanks, etc. You name it, you can probably find plantain there as it can survive being trampled over and over again. We forage for plantain along the St. Lawrence River and transform it into a fresh oil infusion.

Hypericum perforatum

Around the summer solstice, this plant is at its peak and blooms its beautiful, delicate flowers for a short window of time. We forage for her along the St. Lawrence River as she reveals herself to us among the grasses, taking care to ensure that it looks like we were never there.

Achillea millefolium

Yarrow is a very adaptable perennial that is found on meadows, plains, mountains, woods, and roadsides. We forage for her on family land or source from Honeybee Homestead.

Quebec-sourced organic hemp oil is used in our soaps and skincare products for its nourishing and skin-regenerating properties that are absorbed easily into the skin.

We choose to use sunflower oil as the base in all our herbal oil infusions because sunflowers are grown in abundance in our area. Our oil comes from Huilerie L’Arôme des Champs, an organic farm located in the Bromont area.

The beeswax we use to thicken our salves and the honey used in our Botanical Honey Mask come from Miels D’Anicet, an organic bee farm located 275 km north of Montreal. A wild and forested region, free of intensive agriculture, this is an ideal environment for their apiary, yielding high-quality honey and beeswax.

The oats we use are 100% Quebec-grown from Moulin des Promelles, a small family farm with a mission to grow high-quality grains while respecting the environment through sustainable growing practices.
